Thrifting and some news....

Found some lovely items at a local second hand shop yesterday....oh how I love searching for a bargin.

I love the little cups - these are for my little ones play - and the embroidered hand towel.

I have been meaning to share with you...
...a few weekends ago we bought our very first house!
Oh the excitement.
We have been looking for some time. on and off.
And then suddenly out of the blue, we found her and both just new she was the one.
Only 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, which will be a significant downsize from the house we rent, however it will be all our own.

When the girls stay with us, we will have all three little ones in the one room. Oh i hope it will work.
Eventually we will need to renovate however hope to enjoy our cosy little home for some time first.

We will be making a few changes before we move in, like a new kitchen (well it is going to be a very traditional wooden kitchen, so not really 'new' as such) however lovely all the same.

I am spending lots of time researching to ensure our home will be as non-toxic and eco friendly as possible.  We will be having all the floors sanded and stained with natural tung oil and painting all the walls using non VOC paints.

The downsize will mean reducing our furniture by at least 50%. I am currently searching for some lovely vintage wooden lounge chairs that I plan to have recovered, as our current lounge modular lounge setting will not fit.

I look forward to sharing some pictures of our little home soon.

If anyone has any thoughts that may be useful or past experiences,
I would love to hear from you.
