ABOUT

Hi there, I'm Natalie. I started the little gnomes home when my big girl was only little, as a place I could share my thoughts and sewing projects. As a new mum I had been inspired by the beautiful images and words that fill the pages of so many blogs and wanted to create my own space that may provide the same escape and inspiration to others.

The name 'the little gnomes home' was inspired by Abigail, my eldest. A lovely woollen hat kept her head warm during her first winter and she looked just like a little gnome.

I am passionate about living a simple life, of not wanting or having too much stuff and letting my children have a 'commercial free' childhood.  I love Steiner education, real food, photography and creating of all kinds, especially sewing.

If this is your first visit, you may like to read one of my favourite recent posts:

I have also recently launched my new food facebook page - digestible kitchen.

Thanks for stopping by,

Natalie xo

  2. Happy to have stumbled upon you here! I wanted to say that two of my three babies are born in July and it is such a lovely time to have a baby...how exciting. Oh, wait...you are in a different hemisphere. Anyhow, I love July no matter what, especially the 5th and the 8th:)

  5. Hi Natalie, I love your recipes and digestible kitchen is my new favourite blog. I'm so excited for the release of your e-cookbook too! I am trying to find a homemade custard recipe which i can make for my 1 year old daughter. Can you share a recipe with me, please? I see the recipes online call for corn flour... Do you use this?

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment! My recipe will be in my cookbook which will be available in the next few months. I either use cornflour or bovine gelatin to thicken custard. A little cornflour is usually tolerated by most people.
